InsulStar Plus is a foam adhesive that is sprayed to the underside of the roof structure. It glues the roof down to the trusses from the inside (existing & new buildings). It also has an outstanding R-value (per 1" sprayed). InsulStar Plus keeps the water out, the cold in during the hot months and the heat in during the cool months, saving you up to 60% on energy costs.

EPA Stratospheric Ozone Award Winner
R value 1" = 6.4
R value 2" = 13
R value 3" = 21

By spraying InsulStar Plus to the underside of the roof sheathing attic temperature is dramatically lowered. Standard A/C vent can have up to 10 - 15 degree difference in temperature from one vent to the next. After 1" InsulStar Plus is sprayed, it should change to a mere 1 - 2 degree variance in temperature. Big improvement! No more hot/cold rooms.

Protecting the home we all live in.

The Enviro-Friendly InsulStar Plus:

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is S.W.R. (Secondary Water Resistant)?
A. It's an additional roof protection system when your roof fails.

A. Your existing roof decking is only secured by nails. InsulStar Plus super glues the plywood decking to the trusses, making it 3 times stronger than code.

Q. Does InsulStar Plus meet the requirements of local building codes?
A. Yes, (Florida Product Approval # 9975)

Q. Does InsulStar Plus raise roof temperature?
A. No.

Q. If I have a roof leak, will it rot my roof decking?
A. No.

Q. How will I know if I have a roof leak?
A. Water staining will show up in the soffit/fascia areas.

Q. What is the difference between foam adhesive and foam insulation?
A. Foam adhesive glues the roof to the trusses and keeps water out. Foam insulation does not.

Q. Why is one A/C vent cold and others are not?
A. A/C ducts run thru the attic (approx. 145-160 degrees). InsulStar Plus resolves the issue, lowering your attic to only 10 degrees above outside air temperature.

Q. Will Insulstar Plus protect from tornadoes.
A. 90% of all tornadoes are under 150mph

Q. What about hail damage?
A. Yes it does.

Cat 5 Survivor Testimonial

Mr. Gomez presently lives in Homestead, FL and lived there during hurricanes Andrew in 1992 and Wilma in 2005. Both times, the entire shingle roof system was blown off. Despite the loss of his shingle roof, Mr. Gomez's home survived both hurricanes virtually undamaged. His home was built in 1983. In 1985 he decided to install 1" of foam adhesive to the underside of his roof, the purpose being to better insulate and strengthen his home. It wasn't until the devastating Andrew blew thru in 1992 that he realized how strong and water proof the foam adhesive was.
The eye of Hurricane Andrew passed directly over the area. Gomez's home became a safe haven for some 70 family, friends and neighbors. The storm was so powerful that a group of eight men and women took turns applying pressure to Mr. Gomez's garage door to keep it from collapsing. Despite losing the entire exterior roof, the only damage to the Gomez home was from an exhaust fan flying off, which caused a minor leak in the kitchen area. An elderly couple living in the same neighborhood wanted to ride the storm out in their own home. After the storm had passed, the Gomez went to check on them. After removing all types of debris in search of them, they were found huddled in their tub in a pile of rubble. Their house was destroyed. They decided against rebuilding and moved away.
The entire area was devastated. The Army found the Gomez's home to be the only usable, sound structure to set up as a base for a Central Relief Station.
